Machine Operator

Our client, a company in the plastics industry located in Cobourg, is currently seeking full-time entry-level machine operators for permanent positions with immediate start dates. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to begin their career in the manufacturing sector.

Start Date: Immediately

Shifts: 8 hour MAD rotation.

Wage: starting at $19.72.   Premium for Afternoons: $0.70 and Nights: $0.90.   Lunch and breaks are paid.

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manually move parts from the machines
  • Inspect product for quality
  • Clean and trim products if necessary
  • Label product
  • Pack and strap product
  • Keep the work area safe & clean
  • Wear protective equipment in accordance with Company policy.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 diploma or similar
  • Must be able to work full-time long-term.
  • Must speak fluent English
  • At least one year of manufacturing experience
  • Technically inclined
  • Safety conscious
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent visual skills
  • Able to lift to 50lbs
  • Able to work rotating 8-hour shifts
  • Safety shoes with GREEN patch.
